Synagogue Hero

Volunteer security guard at Heaton Park Synagogue in Manchester. In 2025 he confronted a knife-wielding attacker during an assault on worshippers, sustaining life-changing injuries while delaying the attacker long enough for people inside to barricade doors and protect themselves. Recognised with a Pride of Britain Outstanding Bravery award in 2026.
