Shannon Tessier

Shannon is a successful scientist in Canada, but has dedicated her spare time to improving her community. She created the Chance Foundation, an entirely volunteer-run organization dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children and also rallied her community to save her local park.

At the time, the park had fallen into a severe state of decline and was notorious locally as a dangerous "needle park". Through Tessier's leadership and fundraising efforts, the area was entirely cleaned up, revitalized, and transformed into a vibrant green space featuring a safe playground and a swimming area for neighborhood kids.
