Businessman, former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, and major education/arts supporter. In 2025 he gave $80 million to the University of Toronto Faculty of Law (largest gift to a Canadian law school), part of roughly $200 million in lifetime philanthropy supporting bursaries, the arts, and culture through the Hal Jackman Foundation.
