Pay It Forward

One morning a woman at a Starbucks drive-thru ordered a coffee. When she arrived at the payment window, she kindly asked the barista to also charge her for the order of the stranger in the car behind her too. Afterwards, infected by kindness, that driver did the same for the next car, and the chain grew, and grew. By the time it finally broke at around 6pm, when customer number 379 pulled up and just paid for her own coffee, it had run for eleven hours of continuous generosity.
