Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 19, 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of IUM's World at ium.world. By accessing the service, creating an account, or submitting content, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. About IUM's World
IUM's World is operated by International University of Morality, Inc. (IUM), a U.S. nonprofit organization. The service is a global community for sharing positive actions, inspiring experiences, useful knowledge, good people, and contributions that benefit others and society.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum age required in your country. If you are not legally able to agree to these Terms, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use.
You are responsible for accurate account information, maintaining the security of your sign-in credentials, and activity under your account. Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent an affiliation, create accounts to evade enforcement, or transfer an account without permission. Notify IUM promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Posting Guidelines
Share positive and constructive content. Posts should contribute positively to the community. You may share personal experiences, good deeds, achievements, inspiring stories, helpful information, photographs, videos, or links to positive content.
Be genuine. Do not knowingly submit false, fabricated, misleading, deceptive, or materially incomplete information, particularly to receive Prestige Points, certificates, awards, votes, or other recognition.
Respect others. Content must not include harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination, bullying, exploitation, explicit sexual content, graphic violence, or material intended to harm, humiliate, or seriously offend another person.
Respect privacy. Do not disclose another person's private, confidential, or sensitive information without appropriate permission. This includes contact details, identification documents, financial or medical information, private communications, and precise locations that could create risk.
No spam or manipulation. Do not repeatedly post substantially identical or low-quality content, advertise unrelated products or services, distribute malware, create fake accounts, artificially generate engagement, coordinate deceptive voting, or manipulate Prestige Points, country participation, certificates, awards, or other IUM recognition.
Obey the law. Do not submit content or use the service in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing, dangerous, or that encourages illegal conduct.
4. Photographs, Stories, and Third-Party Content
You may upload only content you created or have the rights and permissions necessary to use. Before posting a photograph, video, name, story, quotation, or personal information involving another person, you must have an appropriate lawful basis and obtain that person's permission when required, especially for children, private individuals, sensitive situations, or material captured in a private setting.
You are responsible for your submissions and for any claims arising from them. Do not imply that a person endorses IUM, an award, a product, or your account unless that is true and authorized. Links to third-party material are permitted where relevant, but ownership remains with the respective owner and the linked material must comply with these Terms.
5. Ownership and License to IUM
You retain ownership of content you create. By submitting content to IUM's World, you grant IUM a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting or translation, display, distribute, and share that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and promote IUM's World and IUM's charitable mission, including through IUM websites, applications, official social media, and promotional communications.
This license continues while your content is available and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, legal compliance, shared copies, moderation evidence, and historical or award records. You represent that you have the authority to grant this license.
6. Prestige Points, Voting, and Recognition
Prestige-based recognition. Members may earn Prestige Points through their own eligible participation on IUM's World, such as submitting Today's Good posts and other qualifying activities. Accumulated points may make a member eligible for IUM recognition levels and related certificates, subject to the applicable program criteria and IUM review.
Good People nominations. A member may nominate another person as a Good Person by submitting a biography, photographs, achievements, and supporting information. Community votes and other expressions of support are a way for the community to signal that they find a nominee inspiring. Community votes do not automatically determine the outcome and do not guarantee that IUM will confer any honorary recognition, advanced certificate, or award on the nominee. IUM may apply its own review and criteria before granting any recognition.
IUM may change point values, criteria, programs, and recognition processes prospectively. Submitting content, receiving points, receiving votes, or reaching a displayed threshold does not guarantee a certificate, advanced honor, endorsement, or award. Qualification and certificate issuance are separate events. IUM may verify information and may withhold, adjust, revoke, or remove points, votes, qualifications, certificates, or recognition obtained through error, abuse, manipulation, misleading information, or violation of these Terms.
7. Certificates and Honorary Recognition
IUM offers different forms of recognition under their respective IUM programs:
Certificate of Honor. A qualified member may request review for a Certificate of Honor based on their own Prestige Points and participation. The member must provide the real full name they want printed and a valid registered email. The IUM Board may approve or decline a request, request clarification, or correct administrative errors. If approved, IUM may issue a personalized English-language certificate and list the approved recipient in the Hall of Honor for the qualification year.
Good People honorary recognition. A person nominated through Good People may, in IUM's sole discretion and after its own review, be considered for honorary recognition such as Honorary Bachelor of Morality, Honorary Master of Morality, or Honorary Doctor of Morality. Community support, including votes, informs IUM's review but does not automatically determine the outcome.
All IUM certificates and honorary recognitions are issued under the applicable IUM program and its criteria. They are honorary recognitions of participation or contribution and do not represent an accredited academic degree, professional license, employment credential, or academic qualification.
8. Moderation and Reports
IUM may review, restrict, reject, hide, label, remove, or preserve content and may limit or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect people or the service, investigate reports, prevent abuse, or comply with law. Moderation decisions may consider context and are not required to be immediate.
Members may report posts they reasonably believe are inappropriate, false or misleading, infringing copyright, violating privacy, spam, or otherwise contrary to these Terms. Reports must be made in good faith. Repeated false, abusive, or retaliatory reports are prohibited.
9. Copyright and DMCA Notices
This section explains how to notify IUM of alleged copyright infringement and how to dispute mistaken removals. It describes IUM's internal notice-and-counter-notice process and does not mean that publishing this policy alone establishes or represents that IUM qualifies for any particular safe-harbor limitation of liability under copyright law.
IUM respects intellectual-property rights. If you believe content on IUM's World infringes your copyright, send a notice to mail@ium.world with the subject "Copyright/DMCA Notice." You may also write to International University of Morality, Inc., 1317 Edgewater Dr #5418, Orlando, FL 32804 USA.
Your notice should include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) the exact URL and description of the material you believe infringes it; (3) your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or law; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.
If your content is removed because of a copyright notice and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice identifying the removed material and its former location, providing your contact details and signature, and stating under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification. The counter-notice must also state that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate U.S. federal court and will accept service from the original complainant or their agent.
IUM may provide a valid counter-notice to the complainant and may restore content as permitted by law. IUM may terminate or restrict accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Knowingly misrepresenting infringement or mistaken removal may create legal liability.
10. Privacy Complaints
If a post includes your personal information or image without appropriate permission, use “Report this post” and select “Privacy violation,” or contact mail@ium.world. Include the post URL, identify the information at issue, explain your relationship to it, and provide any context needed for review.
11. Donations and Third-Party Services
Donations are processed by third-party payment providers and may be subject to their terms. Tax deductibility depends on applicable law and individual circumstances. The service may contain third-party links, maps, videos, or other integrations. IUM does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, privacy, or practices.
12. Service Availability and Disclaimer
IUM aims to provide a safe and useful service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, preservation of every item, accuracy of user-submitted content, or any particular result. User content reflects its contributors' views, not necessarily IUM's.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IUM's World is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IUM and its officers, directors, volunteers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, opportunity, or profits arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid IUM for the relevant service during the preceding twelve months or US$100.
14. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. IUM may restrict, suspend, or terminate access for violations, legal or safety risk, prolonged inactivity, or discontinuation of the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, licenses, moderation records, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—remain effective.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any mandatory rights in your place of residence, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Orange County, Florida. Before filing a claim, please contact IUM so the parties can try to resolve it informally.
16. Changes and General Terms
IUM may update these Terms as the service, programs, or law changes. Revised Terms will be posted here with a new effective date, and material changes may be communicated through the service or by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the agreement between you and IUM regarding IUM's World.
17. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent to mail@ium.world, through our Contact page, or by mail to International University of Morality, Inc., 1317 Edgewater Dr #5418, Orlando, FL 32804 USA.
